The family of Bt toxic protein gene was introduced. The advances of the application of Bt toxic protein gene in gene engineering of insect resistant plant were reviewed from aspects of transgenic plant, artificial reform of Bt toxic protein gene expression of Bt toxic protein gene and insecticidal activity of transgenic plant, the development of insect′s resistance aganst Bt toxic protein. The problems of Bt toxic protein gene engineering and resolving ways were discussed.
