Embracing the Past with Memories and the Future with Hope——The Early Development of Shanghai Landscape Design Institute (1946-1976)

上海市园林设计院从1946年起始,迄今已成立60周年。简要回顾从新中国成立前1946年开始直至新中国成立后"文化大革命"结束,上海市园林设计院继往开来、不断壮大的过程,从中可以略见30年的早期发展。机构设置由造园科到设计科,再到设计室,力量不断增强。上海市园林设计院为上海市早期园林建设作出了贡献,也为以后的发展积累了宝贵的经验。

Shanghai Landscape Design Instilute has been 60 years old from its beginning in 1946. Its developing and growing process from 1946, before the founding of new China, until the end of ＂Cultural Revolution＂ in 1970s is briefly reviewed, which was actually the 30-year early development. The insitutional setup changed from the garden creation division to the design division and to the design studio, and it become more and more powerful. Shanghai Landscape Design Institute contributed a lot for the early year landscape construction of Shanghai and has accumulated valuable experience.
