Study progress on acupuncture promoting repair following optic nerve injury

视神经损伤是眼科常见难治性眼病,针灸治疗视神经病变取得良好疗效,在临床效应的基础上,作者综述了有关针刺对视神经损伤后修复作用机理的研究进展。

Many diseases in ocular region can be involved in the optic nerve injury,resulting in optic nerve atrophia and serious vision loss.Oculopathy is common and refractory in ophthalmology.The acupuncture is important therapy of traditional Chinese medicine.The clinical practice has indicated that acupuncture therapy for optic neuropathy is effective and positive.Study of mechanism of action has been done which showed that acupuncture promotes repair following optic nerve injury.
