摘要
SunraysFDDI——以太网网桥是一个互连FDDI网络和以太网络的透明多端口网桥。它依照透明网桥的标准(IEEE802.1d、IEEE802.1i)实现了全部的源地址跟踪、帧转发、帧格式转换、生成树协议以及其它功能。它的管理遵循了SNMP简单网络管理协议,可以支持多种以太网协议和多个端口,并且端口数目具有可伸缩性。为了达到高性能,它采用了特殊的拥塞控制策略。本文首先介绍它的体系结构,之后详细讨论它的设计和实现中的关键技术,特别是用于提高性能。
Sunrays FDDI--Ethernet bridge is a transparent multi-port bridge interconnecting FDDI and Ethernet. According to the standards of bridge (IEEE 802.1d, IEEE 802.1i), it realizes all of the bridging functions, such as source address tracing, frame relay, protocol conversion, spanning-tree protocol and so on. Its management complies to SNMP simple network management protocol. It can support multiple kinds of Ethernet protocols and multiple ports. The number of ports is also scalable. A special congestion control algorithm is used by it to reach high performance. This paper introduces its architecture, then detaily discusses its key technologies in design and implementation, especially the technologies used to improve performance, portability and scalability.
