Marx＇ s theoretical evolution of the origin of law can be divided into three stages： the earliest stage, the developing stage, and the last stage, and Engels＇ thoughts of law belong to the last stage. By studying Marx＇ s manuscripts and notes, we have found some unknown statements of his thoughts on the origin of law, and we have concluded that Engels and Marx are consistent in the theory of the origin of law.
