This article describes ICMIX, a layer feed formulation expert system with Case -Based Reasoning (CBR). The focuses are fixed on cases, case organization and retrieve, case modification and repair. The CBR approach is more suitable to layer feed formulation, an experience rich problem in which many factors must be taken into account, than conventional Rule -Based Reasoning (RBR) method.
