Characteristics of Internationalization in Beijing Architecture Design and Relevant Thinking

北京建筑设计的国际化其实质是"西化";其国际化程度在中国内地与上海并列第一,且深入到城市的核心地域;与国际建筑师在北京的活跃程度相比,目前还鲜有北京建筑师走出国门到发达国家创作建筑。这些都要求我们从加强城市规划引导、促进建筑理论更新和进一步提高创作水平等方面进行深入的思考,使城市和建筑师在全球化过程中切实受益。

The internationalization of Beijing architectural design is the ＂westernization＂ in essence, and its extent ties for first place with that of Shanghai in the mainland. It has developed into the urban core. Compared with the foreign architects＇ activity in Beijing, hardly could the Beijing＇s architects do creations in advanced countries. The domestic cities and architects would benefit from the globalization by improving guidance of urban planning, pushing forward the renewal of architectural theory and bettering the level of creation.
