INTERVIEW WITH HITOSHI MAEHARA

我们年轻一代建筑师对贝先生是非常崇拜的，因此对他这个作品也非常期待，这次有幸触摸到贝先生在故乡的“封笔之作”感到由衷的高兴，以下谈谈几点个人的感受：首先，它是一个优秀的作品，体现出应有的地域性，文化性，是一座属于苏州的建筑，其次，它是一座经典的“贝式”建筑，贝老的一些经典手法在该建筑中得到较好的体现，最后它是一座没有太多惊喜的建筑。

In tight of the upcoming conference titled Museum and City, which will be held in Suzhou and co-sponsored by World Architecture Magazine, from June 22rid to 24th, 2007, with a focus on the relationship between modern museums and contemporary cities, World Architecture Magazine interviews Hitoshi Maehara, who was the project architect for the newly opened Musee d＇Art Moderne in Luxembourg, and the site project architect for Miho Museum in Shiga, Japan.
