近代闽南“侨批”文化中的水客

Latter-day Shuike in Overseas Remittance Culture of Southern Fujian

自19世纪中叶厦门开埠后,闽南人大量移居海外,他们辛苦劳作,将来之不易的血汗钱托付回家乡,一代又一代的闽南华侨不断重复这一过程,由此产生了华侨和国内家眷及亲友进行联系勾通的侨批业。侨批成了华侨与侨眷重要的情感纽带,也造就了闽南侨乡独特的侨批文化。而这一文化又深深打上了传统文化的烙印。本文拟以早期闽南水客为例,对近代闽南侨批文化,作粗浅的探索。

After the establishment of Xiamen commercial port in the middle of the 19th century,pepole of southern Fujian migrated to overseas in large number. They worked hard,and sent hard-earned money to hometown. Overseas Chinese of southern Fujian continued this process generation and generation, so overseas remittance industry was generated to promise overseas Chinese keep in touch with their homeland families and friends. The overseas remittance has become an important emotional linkage amongst overseas Chinese and their homeland families,also has engendered the unique overseas remittance culture of southern Fujian which is deeply ingrained in pertaining traditional culture. The article intends to take early Shuike of southern Fujian as example, advances initial exploration to overseas remittance culture of southern Fujian in the Latter-day era.
