The effect of classical music on university students is analyzed from two aspects. Being a special part of campus culture, classical music plays a distinct role in fostering high-quality new centennial students. The preconditions, means and media for guiding classical music into the mainstream culture are probed. It is held that the guiding of classical music into the mainstream is a hard task that requires support and efforts of various arenas.
