摘要
RTnet在实时Linux扩展Xenomai和RTAI的基础上,实现了一个硬实时的网络协议栈。它不仅以确定的方式实现了UDP/IP、ICMP和ARP,而且为实时用户进程和内核模块提供了POSIX兼容的Socket接口。结合对Linux实时性缺陷的分析,阐述了RTAI和RTnet的原理以及应用方法。测试结果表明,RTnet有效地提高了Linux网络的实时性能,而且便于使用。
RTnet is a hard real- time network protocol stack for Xenomai and RTAI (real -time Llnux extensions). It implements UDP/IP, 1CMP and ARP in a certain way, and also provides a POSIX socket API to real - time user space processes and kernel modules. With the analysis of real -time limitations of Linux, the principle and application of RTAI and RTnet are introduced. The test indicates RTnet can effectively improve the real - time performance of Linux network, and easy for using.
