Questioning Intellectuals'Survival,Desire and Belief——Rereading the Greening Tree

八十年代知识分子小说一度呈现出繁荣的状态来,许多作家通过对历史的反思表达出知识分子在新的历史环境中的精神追求和崇高信仰。通过对张贤亮《绿化树》的重读来重返八十年代文学,讨论了那一代知识分子在食、性、灵三个层次上的困惑与挣扎,并指出在这部作品里所揭示出来的知识分子关于生存、欲望、信仰的问题,对之后的知识分子题材小说创作似乎是一种纲领性的写作。

Intellectuals novels once enjoyed a boom in1980s, when quite a few writers expressed intellectuals＇ spiritual pursuit and noble beliefs in the new historical context through their reflections on history. Based on rereading Greening Tree by Zhang Xianliang, the article discusses that intellectuals got into knots when thinking over food, sex, spirit, and points out that their pondering over survival, desire and belief revealed by this novel seems to serve to enlighten the creation of the later novels with intellectuals subject.
