The cultivation of reading ability is one of the important aspects in college English teaching. Being able to read English newspapers is one of major goals of college English teaching. One of the best ways to realize the goal is through reading English newspaper itself. Exploration of and research into the relationship between English newspaper reading and the cultivation of reading abilities and stress on the impact of paper reading on reading ability cultivation are of significance.
