摘要
在对新闻报道中的数据引证部分进行汉译英处理时，由于时间仓促或其他原因，初涉译事的同行们不免会出一些这样那样的小语病。然而对于译文质量而言，这些语病绝对不容忽视。本文列举了最为常见的几种并对其进行了解析，同时还提供了翻译提示和相关的表达方式，以求对翻译新手在数据引证汉译英方面有所帮助。
In TV and press news, quotation of figures is frequently used to make the report convincing. While translating Chinese news reports into English, green hands often have problems with handling of figure quotation, especially when doing translation in a hurry, as a result of which, language errors appear in their translation in one way or another. Such errors, minor though, should not be neglected because they prejudice the quality of translation. Starting with citation of the commonest cases and analysis of them, this paper gives some tips and improved expressions for reference, in the hope that they might be helpful to young translators.
