通过对涉外宾馆前台英语使用情况的调查，发现英语的学习和使用远没有想象的那么困难。满足岗位英语的交流，涉及的英语句型、词汇并不多。首先要对英语的学习和应用有信心，同时高职院校英语教学要坚持“够用为度”的标准，并努力让学生参与实践，让学生在实践中提高英语应用水平。

On the investigatiuon of front desk English application in foreign -oriented hotels, it is found that English learning and employing is far less difficult than our imagining. To meet the demand of communication, the sentences and words involved are limited. First, English learners should have confidence in English learning and employing. Meanwhile, English teaching in vocational and technical schools should persist in the principle of ＂Learning follows application in practice＂ and encourage students to participate in social activities as much as possible to improve the ability of their using English.
