本文论述了以ＤＮＡ多态型为基础的分子标记较之其它遗传标记无法比拟的优越性，对分子标记的类型和特点进行了详细的介绍，并就分子标记在林木遗传图谱构建、目的基因定位与克隆、分子标记辅助选择育种及林本物种、品种和优良无性系鉴别等方面的应用途径和应用前景作了详细的论述。

ABSTRACT The advantages of molecular marker based on DNA polymorphism over geneticmarkers are discussed，followed by a brief account of the variety of molecular markers alongwith their respective characteristics. Finally，the role of molecular marker and its prospectsof application in genetic mapping，gene cloning，molecular一marker aided selective breeding，as well as forest tree clone identification are reviewed.
