Electromagnetic bearing is a kind of unit which achieves rotor supporting without contact （magnetic suspension） by magnetic force, and has a lot of good characteristics. At present, it has been successfully applied on several hundred machine abroad, technology index of the machine tool has been obviously improved, the great development prospect is shown.
