Combined with massive debris flow disaster happened in a certain debris flow gully of Daduhe, the article illustrates the development history of debris flow, analyzes engineering geology of various functional zone of the debris flow gully, studies its formation mechanism and the engineering effects brought by it, and points out that man should prevent the occurrence of debris flow to reduce its influences on bridge and highway at the entrance of the gully.
