HU Feng and 矢崎弹: A Friendship Round Constellation

20世纪三四十年代,胡风与日本进步评论家矢崎弹虽有认识上的差异,但还是在短时间内萌生了友谊,并相互产生了信赖,1937年两人多次在上海会晤,并以《星座》杂志为平台,对中日文学交流寄予了强烈的愿望,"希望两国的人道主义不断地成长,为使邻近的两个民族沿着人类共同的目标,攀登进步的台阶,而热切地希望知识分子的合作",他们努力做着有益于此的工作。为此矢崎弹还受到日本军国主义者的拘捕;在经营具有坚定的编辑方针、个性鲜明的杂志方面,两人也有很多共同点。由于日本的侵华战争,中断了彼此的联系,但这段经历对双方都产生了很大的影响。

During the 1930-1940s, HU Feng developed a friendship and mutual trust with Japanese progressive critic 矢崎弹 despite their disparities in views. The two met several times in Shanghai in 1937, and expressed strong wishes for better exchanges in literature between China and Japan in the Constellation. We ＂hope that humanism will prosper in both countries. We also sincerely and earnestly hope intellectuals in both countries work together to push the two nations to the common goal of human beings. ＂ And they worked hard for the goal. 矢崎弹 was prisoned by the Japanese militarists. Their friendship, stopped by the Japanese aggression in China, had a far-fetched influence on both sides.
