On Xinjiang Music during the Period of the War of Resistence Against Japan

抗战时期,在全国抗日救亡活动的影响下,新疆大中小学校、各文化团体纷纷组织抗战歌曲学唱、演唱、传唱和创作等活动,少数民族音乐人将抗战歌曲翻译成本民族语言,在本民族中教唱、传唱。一批具有爱国思想的新疆音乐人创作了大量反映新疆支援抗战和反抗黑暗统治的歌曲,给新疆的新文化运动注入了新的血液,激发了新疆各族人民的爱国激情,使抗战时期新疆的音乐活动成为中国音乐史的重要组成部分。

Under the infulence of the activities during the period of the war of resistence against Japan, all schools and cultural organizations formed all kinds of activities such as learning songs, singing, teaching songs and creating songs for the war. And national musicians translated the songs into their own languages to make people learn the songs. Some Xinjiang patriotic musicians created many songs for supporting Anti- Japanese war and rebelling the dark rule which encouraged people to struggle and made Xinjiang music he an important part of Chinese musica history.
