A high sensitive and convient spectrophotometric method for determination of micro stibonium with rosin phase is decribed. The stibonium forms ayellow comples anion with I - in the medium of 1.8 mol/L H 2SO 4 5% the critric acid and the thiocarbamide. The complex anion can be absorbde by D 301 resin. Putting the resin into 5mm cell and determination its absorbance on the spectrophotometer. The wavelength of absorption maximum is 425 nm. Beer′s law is obeyed for 0~40 μg of stibonium in 0.5 g resin. The method has been applied to the determination of stibonium in geological samples with satisfactory result.
