Semantic Comprehension of Fuzziness of Language and Its Translation Strategies

语言的模糊性与确定性是语言系统不可缺少的两个重要组成部分。语言模糊性与翻译研究有着密切的关系,是翻译研究不可回避的问题,两者有机的结合将会极大的促进翻译理论与实践的发展。而语言模糊本质的理解是以语义为基础的。本文从模糊语言学角度出发,结合现实语料,利用模糊集合论概念来进一步加深对语义模糊性的理解,并探讨其相应的翻译策略。

Fuzziness and certainty are indispensable to language. The development of translation studies and researches about fuzzy linguistics show that there is a close relationship between fuzzy language and the study of translation. Therefore, the study of translation, connected with fuzzy linguistics, will produce a new theory of fuzzy translation. The comprehension of fuzziness of language is based on semantics. By sampling and citing some theorists, and by analyzing present achievements on the study of fuzzy translation, this paper proposes a theoretical framework about the study of fuzzy translation so as to enrich translation theories and to improve translation strategies.
