英语变体探析

A Study on English Varieties

当今时代，英语已发展成为一门世界性语言，“英语族”这一概念的出现反映了现代英语的变化。英语的发展变化已形成许多带有浓厚地域特色的变体。文章首先探讨英语的全球化传播，接着从社会语言学的角度论述英语变体的形成和发展，最后阐述英语变体在英语教学中的重要意义。

Nowadays with the development of English as an international language, the appearance of the concept ＂Engllshes＂ refleets the reality that English is no longer what it used to be. Different varieties of English with their special features have come into being in different regions. After making an attempt to explore the global widespread of English, this paper discusses the formation and development of English varieties from the perspective of sociolinguistics. Then it expounds the significance of English varieties in English teaching.
