Breeding and Selection of a New Mid-early Corn Hybrid 98-ZW-1

玉米新杂交种98-ZW-1是白银市农业科学研究所以自育自交系98-W-1为母本、自育自交系98-Z-1为父本杂交选育而成。在2002-2003年白银市多点区域试验中,平均折合产量12 032.25 kg/hm2,较对照品种沈单10号增产9.78%;在2002-2004年生产试验中,平均折合产量12 063.54 kg/hm2,较对照品种沈单10号增产3.3%。中早熟,株高246 cm,百粒重40.0 g左右,籽粒含粗蛋白111.0 g/kg、粗脂肪46.2 g/kg、淀粉716.2 g/kg、赖氨酸3.6 g/kg。高抗大斑病和红叶病,适应性强。适宜在白银市高扬程灌区海拔较高的干旱半干旱地区推广种植。

The new corn hybrid, 98-ZW-1 was bred by Baiyin Agri-Sci Institute using 98-W-1 as female parent and 98- Z-1 as male parent. The average yield was of 98-ZW-1 12 032.25 kg, more than Shendan No. 10 by 9.78% in regional trial during the period 2002--2003. The average yield was 12 063.54 kg, more than Shendan No. 10 by 3.3% in production test During the period 2002--2004. It was an mid-early ripe corn hybrid with height of 246 cm, 100 kernel weight of 40. 0 g. The result also indicated that seed crude pertein,crude fat,starch and lysine were respectively 111.0 g/kg,46.2 g/kg,716.2 g/kg and 3.6 g/kg. It was resistant to spot disease and red-leaf disease, suitable to high-lift irrigation district in high altitude, arid and semi-arid areas in Baiyin city.
