摘要
隐喻不仅是一种修辞手段,更是一种重要的认知模式,是新的语言产生的源泉。词汇作为语言的基本细胞,隐喻有着密切的联系。从隐喻角度出发,论述隐喻认知模式,探讨隐喻与词汇的关系,并将其引入到英语词汇教学中。
Metaphors are not only ornamental devices but also cognitive instruments.It is of great importance in the development of language.Naturally as the basis of language,vocabulary is closely related to metaphor.This paper illustrated metaphor as a cognitive model,discusses the relation between metaphor and vocabulary and explores the cognitive functions of metaphor in English vocabulary teaching.
