天津近代法学教育代表院校略述

The Representative Universities and Colleges of Modern Education of Law in Tianjin

中国开办讲授近代法律的第一个综合性大学是天津的北洋大学,北洋大学头等学堂设"律例学门,"初步具备了法律系的基本形态。1906年12月30日成立的北洋法政专门学堂是国内创办最早的法政专门学校之一,曾被指定为全国各省同类学校的表率和样板,1902年9月20日成立的天津警务学堂,是国内讲授中外法律及警察知识最早的警察学校。本文对以上三所学校的办学宗旨、学制、课程设置、毕业生情况作了介绍,并对三所学校进行了若干比较。

Beiyang University is the first general university opening modern law course in China.Lawsuit Study opened in the first-rate college of Beiyang University had already possessed the basic form of the department of law. On December 30^th, 1906, Beiyang Law ＆ Administration College was setup and became one of the first colleges specializing in jurisprudence and administration education in China, which was appointed to be the example and model for all this kinds of colleges all over the country. Tianjin Police college was set up on September 20a, 1902, which is the first police college that opened Chinese ＆ foreign law and police knowledge courses. The author gives a brief introduction on the purposes of school-running, educational systems, curriculums and graduation achievements, and compares these three colleges.
