The process of constructing embedded Linux operating system based on Intel IXP425 web processor is described. Many methods are expounded, such as how to build the cross development environment, compile IPX425 bootloader and the kernel, create JFFS2 file system, and transplant bootloader to FLASH target board. The process and methods are helpful to exploit other embedded operating systems.
