Basing on the applicatin and developing trend of plastic in automobile and the appling research process of plastic substituted steeel in recent years, the plasticity of automobile decorative parts, engine parts, structural materials,body materials were introdeced in detailed in this paper. The application prospects of plastic using in future automobile were put forward.
