摘要
传统的小说翻译研究往往只注重传达原文的内容,而小说中语言形式的意义却往往被忽略。但是忽略语言形式意义往往会导致小说翻译中"假象等值"现象。文章主要从文学文体学的角度分析鲁迅短篇小说两个英译本,探讨译者在处理原文中"前景化"语言时所采取的策略以及在译文中产生的不同文体效果,从而说明在翻译中文本的主题意义和美学价值的重要性,并从中探究了如何提高译者的文体能力,避免翻译中的"假象等值"问题。
In traditional fictional translation studies, much attention has been paid to transferring the content of the original, while the meaning of the linguistic form is left untouched upon. In translation, neglecting literary writers' artistic manipulation of the linguistic form will result in various kinds of "deceptive equivalence".This thesis applies literary stylistics in assessing the two English versions of Lu Xun's short stories and discusses the translation strategies adopted by the two translators in rendering the foregrounded features in the original and different stylistic effects resulting from these different translation strategies in the target language. It is to be hoped that, through our analysis and discussion of the two versions of Lu Xun's short stories, more attention is paid to literary stylistics in fictional translation so as to enhance translators' stylistic competence and avoid "deceptive equivalence" in translation.
