Evaluation on efficiency of institutions of higher learning using DEA method

从教育经济学的角度出发,采用数据包络分析方法定量研究了我国高校资源利用效率状况,以期为教育管理者在制定资源配置政策以及高校在如何提高资源利用效率方面提供借鉴与参考。

The scarcity of educational resources is a common issue in all countries, especially in current China. How to utilize effectively the available educational resources is one of the key topics in the area of education all around the world. The paper, from the perspective of educational economics, studies quantitatively the efficiency of institutions of higher learning in China by employing Data Envelopment Analysis （DEA） method. The goal of the research is to put forward to some references for the educational administrators to establish the policy of educational resources allocation and for the universities to raise the productivity of the current available resources.
