历史上风行的时尚器物,常常会随着朝代鼎革、后世习俗的改变而消失在悠悠岁月的长河中。明代扇坠的迷失就是其中的一例。

It is said that folding fan is introduced into China from Korea during Song dynasty. The earliest extant folding fan is made in Ming dynasty. The current paper only discusses the pendants of folding fans.
