The article introduces the new technology for level measurement, the Time-of-Flight（ TOF ）technology hased on the principle of echo ranging used in ultrasonic;microwave and laser level measurement system.It focuses on the technical features, applications and trends of the microwave level measurement system.The history and the current market status of the domestic level measurement instrumentation industry are described as well.
