中国连续近30年的高速经济增长,解读或"理解中国发展"已经不只是中国学者的事,国外有识之士也对此感悟之谜,秉持西方政治理念的人更感到理解中国的发展尤其困难。中国的城市化和工业化的过程与欧美国家发展过程比较在时空转换和变换相似又非相似,也是一个非常复杂和特别深刻的特殊过程。解读或理解中国的发展不仅要看到GDP增长,还要看到文化的作用。

The rapid development of China in the past thirty years seems to be a mystery. It has been a task for both Chinese and foreign experts to unscramble it, which is especially difficult for those with western political concepts. Although its changing of space-time is similar to that of western countries, the progress of China＇s citilization and industrialization is more com- plex and profound. So it should be not only from its GDP but from the function of its culture for us to understand the development of China.
