Utilization of Chinese Native Pig Breed Resource

中国是世界上猪种质资源最丰富的国家之一,中国地方猪种是满足人类动态化肉质需求和多样化未来市场的一座基因宝库,但许多猪种目前却面临着优良基因流失和性能逐年退化的威胁。本文就我国地方猪种资源的利用现状、现阶段利用中亟需解决的问题及其如何创新利用等问题作一综述。

China is one of the countries which have the most abundant pig germplasm resource in the world. As a gene treasury, Chinese native pig breeds can suffice people＇s dynamic request of meat quality and the diversiform future market, but at present, many pig breeds face the threat of beneficial gene losing and performance degradation. This paper mainly focus on the present utilization status, the desiderate problems in present utilization and the innovative use of pig germplasm resources.
