张无翼是中国现代儿童文学的拓荒者之一,囿于中国文化根深蒂固的"文以载道"的教育传统,囿于时代的政治目的,本着强烈的社会责任感,张天翼把童话创作当作了对儿童进行教育的一种形式,采用了成人化的表达方式,表现为执着于现实的创作立场、远离童心的旁观视角和对儿童情趣的理性化营造,在讲故事的同时为儿童讲述着成人经验里做人的道理。
