The period from the mid - 19th Century to the early 20th century is of great importance in the history of Sino- American relationship, during which America implemented the immigrant policy against Chinese. The policy had farreaching impacts on the Chinese in America and Chinese communities, including Chinese naturalization, growth of population, integration with American society, economic structure and education, and so on.
