在文化心理结构上,当代迷信行为与中国文化传统的神秘主义之间具有一定的文化渊源,其中宗教信仰的巫术化成为中国文化尤其是宗教文化最本质的支撑。而与旧式迷信不同,当代迷信行为从表现形式到结构功能都发生了一定的变化:以科学为招牌,以"时尚"的形式公开传播,较强的趋利倾向与反社会倾向;迷信行为的物质消费性更加突出,负向调节社会心理的功能进一步强化。
