摘要
隐喻不仅是一种语言现象,更是一种认知方式。认知语言学派的隐喻理论揭示了隐喻普遍性的原因,也指出了英语教学中隐喻的重要性。涉及到隐喻的英语语言现象是中国学生理解和运用的难点。针对这一问题,本文尝试将认知隐喻学中有关概念隐喻的理论引入英语教学中,并探讨其应用价值,以探索解决英语教学中涉及到隐喻现象的教学难点问题的途径。
Metaphor is not only a linguistic phenomenon, but a cognitive mode. The metaphoric theory of the cognitive linguistic school reveals the cause of metaphor universality and also points out the importance of metaphor in English teaching. However, the English linguistic phenomenon covering metaphor is difficult to be understood and applied by the Chinese students. In view of this problem, the paper attempts to usher the concept metaphor theory in the science of cognitive metaphor into English teaching, and discusses its applied value so as to find the ways to solve the difficult problems covering the metaphoric phenomena in English teaching.
