《法国民法典》是19世纪初成文法典的杰出代表。200多年以来,法典的基本原则和内容随着社会的发展变化而及时做出部分调整。但是其根本面貌未改,从而成为世上少有的长寿的法典,表现出较强的适应性。这与法典自身的品格、法典的立法技术,法官和法学家的作用是分不开的。

French Civil Code is an outstanding representative code of the early 19th century. In 200 years, with the development of society, the basic principles and contents of code have changed in a timely manner. However, the fundamental outlook has not changed and this code becomes a rare longevity code and it shows strong adaptability. This adaptability is because of character, the legislative technology of the code and the role of judges and jurists.
