摘要
从学科研究的特点和方法论上看,艺术史研究不仅要注重对作品和资料的理性研究及考古分析,也依然需要凭借史学家直觉的审美再创造及人文情感的理解力,这是由该学科研究对象的非物质性所决定的。在强调艺术史研究方法的科学性及技术性的同时,必须注重史学中文化观念的地位和作用。艺术史研究的对象和艺术史学发展的过程也是观念的历史。艺术的"风格史"只是一种叙事的方式,但不是惟一的和全面的。在后现代语境下,艺术史学在方法上和观念上必然会走向更为多元的、开放的、多向度的舞台。其主要的趋向和特点,是从对艺术史自身的研究走向把艺术史置于社会和文化史之中的跨学科、跨地域、跨文化的研究,而非局限于线性的、单向度的和封闭的史学观念与叙事方式。
From the perspective of the features and methodologies of discipline studies, the study of art history should not only lay emphasis on the rational investigation and archeological analysis of the works and materials, but also rely on the instinctive recreation and the understanding of human emotions of the historian. This is determined by the immaterialness of the objects of study. While attention is paid to the science and technology of the approaches to art history studies, emphasis should also be laid upon the status and function of cultural ideology in history studies. The objects of study and the process of development in the study of art history is also the history of thoughts. The history of artistic styles is a way of narration, but not the only and complete way. In the postmodern context, the ideology and methodology of art history studies must move onto a multiple, open, and poly-dimensional stage. The main tendency and feature is to move from the study of art history itself to the interdisciplinary, transnational and cross-cultural studies which put art history in the history of its society and culture rather than the linear, one-dimensional and closed ideas and narratives of art history.
