Personalized Postgraduate Education of Library and Information Science in American and Its Enlightenment

通过对9所美国图书情报学硕士研究生院校网站的访问,分析美国图书情报学硕士研究生个性化教育的表现,总结美国图书情报学硕士研究生个性化教育的两大特色:一是明确职业目标,量身定制培养方案;二是通过网络信息教育系统(WISE)实现在美国图书馆协会认证的其他研究生院校之间跨校选修课程。在此基础上,总结对我国图书情报学硕士研究生个性化教育的启示。

After investigating the 9 famous universities of library and information science in American, the author analyses the characteristics of postgraduate education of library and information science in American, and puts forward that establishing specific professional roles and making individual program is the first characteristic. The second characteristic is inter-university education through Web-based information science education system among the universities identified by ALA. Lastly, the author points out its enlightenments to the postgraduate education of library and information science in China.
