在社会主义的历史条件下怎样认识和处理党内矛盾,是执政党建设的重大课题。建国后党内发生过许多重大矛盾和斗争,陈云在处理这些矛盾和斗争的过程中始终坚持党性,坚持实事求是的原则,提出了许多重要思想,丰富和发展了马克思主义关于正确处理内部矛盾的理论,为维护党风党纪、坚持真理,也为今天进一步加强党的执政能力建设做出了重要贡献。

How to understand and handle contradictions within the Party is an issue of great im- portance under the historical conditions of socialism.There were a lot of grave contradictions and struggles within the Party since the inauguration of New China;in handling these contradictions and struggles Chen Yun always upheld the Party spirit and adhered to the principle of seeking truth from facts.He put forward many important thoughts,which enriched and development the Marxist theo- ry of correct handling of contradictions within the Party,and thus made important contributions to building up the Party's governing capacity as well as maintaining the work style and discipline of the Party and upholding the truth.
