“这下”的篇章功能

The discourse function of zhèxià

“这下”本为指示代词加量词的短语，用来回指上文或语境中的一个动作或事件，它在现代汉语中发生了语法化，具有了表示时间关系和逻辑关系的篇章功能，甚至是话语标记功能。同样为指量短语的“这回”、方言中的“这把”与“这下”发生了相同的变化，这种变化与它们的指代功能有直接的关联。

Originally, zhèxià（这下） was a phrase composed of a pronoun with a measure word, denoting an action or an event mentioned previously. However, in modern Chinese, through a process of grammaticalization it has possessed a discourse function to indicate temporal relations, logical relations, and even a function of a discourse marker. The similar phrases such as zhèhuí（这回） and zhèbǎ （这把） （in certain dialects） have experienced the same process. The reason for this phenomenon lies probably in their demonstrative function.
