On the Growth of University

大学成长是大学由不完善到完善的成熟过程和不断扩大的过程,因而具有顺序性、独特性、历史性特征。大学成长中的问题包括"臃肿"、"争执"、"忙乱"、"埋怨",问题产生的原因有组织惰性、资源紧张、人才匮乏、制度失范、体制僵硬。促进大学成长,应该注重资源的准备与获得,成长战略的恰当选择,组织能力的建设,组织结构的建构,技术手段的运用。

The growth of university is a course of continuous expansion from imperfect to perfect with the characteristics of order, peculiarity and history. The problems in the course of the growth of university include being ＂overstaffed＂, ＂dissension＂, ＂fuss＂ and ＂resentment＂. The causes to the problems are organizational inertia, insufficient resources, lack of talents, non-standard system and systematic inflexibility. To promote the growth of university, we should pay attention to the preparation and obtainment of resources, proper choice of growth strategy, construction of organizational capability and organizational structure as well as the application of technological means.
