Speculation on the Connatural Function of Translation Culture

文化观念是千变万化的语言用法和语言习惯产生的重要原因，现已逐渐成为翻译研究的重要领域。不同民族的思维方式、信仰、价值和态度会使译者在诠释原文时，在译文里灌注自己的文化观，因而使译者成为文本转换过程中的关键和中心。译者必然站在本民族文化本体的立场上，努力消除原文文本与译文文本、原作者意图与译文读者接受能力之间的差异，这样翻译便成了一种文化，一种独具特色的翻译文化。

Cultural concepts,which underlie the variety of language usage and language habits, come to be the key area of translation studies. The ways of thinking, beliefs,attitudes and values of different cultures lead translators to irrigating his own cultural concepts into TL text,and the translator is thus thought of as the center of translating. Moreover, the translator, taking the firm stand of his own national culture, might try to bridge the gaps betwecn SL text and TL text,and Between intention of SL author and receiving capacity of TL receptors. As a result, translation proper has now gained a cultural function, which is certain to have prepared the way for the formation of a new culture-translation culture.
