There are essential techniques regarding to the switching of high frequency receiver transmitter during the by-pass switch operated circuit. Improper operation may cause malfunction of the relay protection or the loss of protection to the circuit. The relative merits of several common ways of switching the receiver transmitter during by-pass operation are discussed in this paper.
