The relations between Britain and Xinjiang, China, under Yang Zengxin＇ s governing, can be divided into three periods, the Xinhai revolution（辛亥革命） period, World War Ⅰ period, and post-World War Ⅰ period. This article discusses Britain＇s policy to Xinjiang in each period. Britain＇s policy was consistent with its tradition during this time, but it also had been changing constantly due to the changing international politics.
