我国高等院校竞争、管制与院校绩效关系的实证分析

An empirical examination of the effects of competition and regulation on public universities and their performance in China

为了研究竞争、管制对高等院校绩效的作用,以中国公立高等院校为样本进行了实证研究。研究表明:以院校排名为衡量绩效,教育劳务市场竞争有利于提高院校绩效;校长任期与院校绩效负相关;院校调整合并有利于提高院校绩效;院校隶属关系与院校绩效正相关,而院校绩效与科研产品(准)市场竞争的正相关不能得到证实。提出了强化院校教育劳务市场竞争、创新政府管制理念与管制方式等相关建议。

In order to study the effects of competition and regulation on university performance,an empirical examination was done with the data of public universities and colleges＇ performance in China.The evidences show that increasing competition in education service market is associated with better university ＆ college education performance.And increasing competition in R＆D market cannot have positive effect on their performance.The president＇s tenure is associated with his university ＆ college performance.The staterun colleges and universities can improve their performance.And the significant meaning of competition and regulation for improving public university ＆ college performance in China is discussed.
