本文阐述了公示语的应用功能、语言风格及其"静态"和"动态"意义,通过剖析公示语英汉翻译中常见的问题和失误,探讨了公示语翻译的基本原则和方法,以及翻译质量保障措施。
This paper takes a close look at the functional features of public signs,language style as well as the static and dynamic indications. Analyzing the existing problems in C - E translation of public signs, this paper discusses applicable principles and approaches of translation, offers some suggestions to the official agencies concerned for a better regulation of China＇ s public signs in English.
