处常子《续本事诗》辑考

A Textual Research on Chu Changzi's Continuation of Original Story of Poetry

处常子《续本事诗》是五代时期吴国出现的一部诗话体小说,为续补唐代孟启的《本事诗》而作。《续本事诗》全书已亡,但通过辑出的17条佚文,可以一窥该书的面貌。相对《本事诗》来说,《续本事诗》更加依赖于从较早书籍选取诗话材料。从《本事诗》到《续本事诗》,再到《续广本事诗》和《唐宋分门名贤诗话》、《诗话总龟》,唐五代的诗话体小说完成了向宋代诗话丛编的转变。

Continuation of Original Story of Poetry is a book about poets and thier stories written by Chu Changzi in Wu Kingdom of the Five Dynasties in order to supplement Original Story of Poetry by Meng Qi in the Tang Dynasty. Continuation of Original Story of Poetry has been lost, but its seventeen rediscovered passages can still display the features of the whole book. Compared with Original Story of Poetry, Continuation of Original Story of Poetry selects poets and thier stories from earlier books. Original Story of Poetry, Continuation of Original Story of Poetry, Further Continuation of Original Story of Poetry and Classified Collection of Distinguished Poets and Their Stories in the Tang and Song Dynasty demonstrate the transformation of compilation of poets and thier stories from separate books in the Tang Dynasty and Five Dynasties into the series of books in the Song Dynasty.
